Y7

We will conduct a diagnostic numeracy assessment during week 2 with all year 7 students. There is no preparation required for this assessment.

Y9 & 10

Students will sit the new 9-1 style GCSE papers during their assessments this academic year. At the present time the exam boards have not released grade boundaries for these papers. We are therefore unable to report grades achieved on these exams. We will give students feedback re strong and weak areas re their performance.

Assessments

We run all assessments in the style of the public GCSE examinations that the students will sit in Year 11. This develops good habits as students know what to expect in the real exam.

We therefore have the following exam rules. Please familiarise yourself with them before you sit your assessments:

  • No communication with other students in the exam venue
  • Bring all the equipment you will require for the exam (we do not lend):
    • Pen
    • Pencil
    • Ruler
    • Pencil sharpener
    • Rubber
    • Protractor
    • Compasses
    • Calculator (if a calculator paper)
